“Dedicated in 1977, our 14-acre Japanese Garden, one of the largest in North America, represents an evolution of centuries of tradition and a multiplicity of distinctly Japanese cultural influences.”
For the out of towners, the Japanese Garden is a part of Missouri Botanical Gardens conservatories. They also have a Bavarian Garden, Chinese Garden, a German Garden, English Woodland Garden, and an Ottoman Garden.
I won’t bore you with all the details that the website already has about the gardens, but I think it’s pretty impressive. I’ve yet to explore all of the gardens, but I hope to. They even have a Butterfly House that I desperately want to explore.
The Botanical Garden hosts many awesome events as well. So if you’re in town, or just haven’t been, have a look at their calendar and go surround yourself with some natural beauty.
